Adding mixed numbers

For, adding mixed numbers you first need to make them into improper fractions then add them

Example; there was 1 1/2 peaches, oranges had 3 1/3 combined how much was there?

1 1/2 = 3/2  3 1/3 = 10/3  3/2= 9/6  10/3= 20/6    20+9= 29/6= 4 5/6
